Christopher James

"Christopher James has extensive experience in business and diplomacy. He began his career in the British Army before joining the Foreign Office in 1975 and serving for 20 years in a number of positions across Africa, India and Europe.

"In 1994, he set up Hakluyt, a pioneering company providing commercial intelligence to many of the world’s leading global corporations. He left Hakluyt in 2006 and founded Malachite, a company which provides strategic advice for investors wishing to expand their businesses in emerging markets. He retired from Malachite in 2012."
