Chris Stephens "is a Civil Service Commissioner with substantial worldwide experience of business and human resource leadership in British and international corporations. Chris is a trustee of the Foundation of Church Leadership, Senior Non-Executive Director of WSP plc; and Chair and trustee of the Exel Foundation. Before opting for early retirement in 2004, he was Group Human Resources Director for Exel plc, responsible for 110,000 employees in 130 countries."
