China International Public Relations Association
China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA) is a peak PR association "aimed at international cooperation in the field of public relations". [1] (CIPRA is not to be confused with the China Public Relations Association.)
According to CIPRA there are over 1,500 PR firms in China employing over 15,000 people at the end of 2003. It estimates that industry revenue in 2003 was 3.3 billion yuan (US$397 million) up from 2.5 billion yuan (US$301 million) in 2002. CIPRA Secretary-general and executive vice-president Zheng Yannong expects the growth of the industry will be approxiamtely 30 per cent.[1]
