Charles Moyer
Charles Moyer "is a graduate of Gettysburg College and the University of Michigan Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of California. Mr. Moyer served as an Army Artillery officer and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Venezuela. His professional career has been devoted to the international protection of human rights. He was a member of the staff of the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights during the 1970’s and was elected the first Secretary of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, where he served during the 1980’s. After his retirement from the Organization of American States in 1989, he has been Adjunct Professor at the Washington School of Law of American University and has collaborated with the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights, based in San José, Costa Rica. Mr. Moyer currently lives in Paris with his wife, Yvonne, while their daughter Erika attends the International School of Paris." [1]
