Charles I. McCarty was a Brown & Williamson Marketing Department Brand Manager circa 1964. He was Director of Marketing 1971-72; Chief Operating Officer from 1975-76 and Chairman & Chief Operating Officer from 1977-79.
Biography
Mr. McCarty worked for Brown & Williamson in the Marketing Department as Brand Manager in 1964, and was Brand Manager for Viceroy, SWR, Tube Rose, Military Markets, Long Cut, Granulated & Plug in 1966. He was Director of Marketing from 1971-72, on the Marketing Committee in 1971, and Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations in 1973. He was also employed in the Exec Department as President & Chief Operating Officer from 1975-76 and Chairman & Chief Operating Officer from 1977-79.
