Dr. Charles C. Edwards: Defense
Biography
Charles Edwards was commissioner of the FDA, circa 1972. He testified before the Consumer Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Commerce that if no medical claims are made, cigarettes recommended for smoking pleasure are beyond the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (R.J. Reynolds Statement 4/14/94).
