Charles Aubrey LeMaistre, M.D. was President of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He was been a Plaintiff's Expert in tobacco cases.

Biography

Charles LeMaistre was President of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX from 1993 to 1994 (Dallas MN 1/12/94). LeMaistre testified for the plaintiff in the Horton case. He worked on the 1964 Surgeon General's report.(D. Barrett 5/19/94) He is also a member of the 1961-1964 Surgeon General's advisory committee on smoking and health.(E. Whelan 1984) Circa 1961, LeMaistre was a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.(E. Whelan 1984) He was a member of the first Surgeon General's Panel on smoking in 1964. He has a very good knowledge of tobacco and the politics of tobacco.
