Chagema Kedera is the deputy director of the Kenya Horticulture Competitiveness Program (KHCP), a five-year program of the U.S. Agency for International Development in Kenya that began in 2010.
- "As Managing Director of the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (1997-2010), Chagema Kedera gained in-depth knowledge of domestic and international horticulture standards, phytosanitary regulations, plant protection, and seed certification.
- "He managed the preparation of pest risk assessments for US market entry and chaired the National Taskforce on Horticulture from 2002 to 2009. He has also served on several international commissions including the on the FAO Commission on Phystosanitary Measures."[1]
