Center for Conflict Resolution

Center for Conflict Resolution (CECORE) is a Ugandan based NGO that was founded by Stella Sabiiti.[1] It "is an initiative of Ugandan people working to seek alternative and creative means of preventing , managing and resolving conflicts. Members come from a rich background of peace and human rights work, research and training." [2]

Funding

They have received two grants from the Westminster Foundation in

  • 1997 "To fund the Centre for Conflict Resolution, Kampala, to hold a workshop in June 1996 to provide further training for women in leadership positions from different backgrounds and organisations, to enable them to develop conflict resolution skills and conflict prevention skills to pass on to their communities or organisations."
  • 1998 "To fund the Centre for Conflict Resolution, Uganda, to hold a series of workshops on conflict resolution for 15 women parliamentarians in Uganda, during 1999."
