Cees Flinterman
Cees Flinterman is vice-president of the Foundation for Human Security in the Middle East. He "was an alternate member of the United Nations Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities (1987-1991), Vice-Chairperson of the 49th session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights (1993) and Head of the Delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the 49th and 50th session of the UN Commission on Human Rights (1993 and 1994) and to the World Conference on Human Rights (1993). Since 1 November 1998, he is director of the Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen FensterNetherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) and the Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen FensterSchool of Human Rights Research. He presently is also member of the Editorial Board of the Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen FensterNetherlands Quarterly of Human Rights and the Netherlands International Law Review and a member of the Government Advisory Council on International Affairs. Since August 2002 he is member of the Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen Fenster UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW)." [1]
