Catherine Borgman-Arboleda
Catherine Borgman-Arboleda - Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Center for International Media Action.
"Prior to co-founding CIMA Catherine served as Project Director of MediaChannel.org. She supervised operations and oversaw fundraising, network development, strategic planning, and led the development of the international hubs of MediaChannel, in Latin America and Africa. Previously, Catherine supervised documentary production companies in Europe, South America and the U.S., including overseeing start-up operations, and working on cross-border collaborative television and film projects. Catherine also worked for the Associated Press in Rome, Italy. Previous Internet work included managing the development of the Website for an online counseling service start-up. Catherine was a participant in the 2003 Our Media III conference in Colombia, attended the World Summit on the Information Society, and received a Ford Foundation fellowship to attend a 2004 issue mapping workshop by the Govcom.org Foundation in Amsterdam. Catherine is doing a Master in Public Policy and Administration at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. She is fluent in Italian and Spanish.“ [1]
