Biographical Information

"Carl Gustaf Lundin joined IUCN as head of the Global Marine Programme in November 2001. His primary responsibility is to develop the program in four areas: marine protected areas, building partnerships for conservation of ecosystems and endangered marine species, sustainable fisheries management, and climate change effects on marine resources. Prior to his service at IUCN, Carl worked with the World Bank for more than 12 years focusing on coastal and marine management issues in several regions of the world. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Uppsala University in his native Sweden, and a Licentiate in Philosophy, Natural Resources Management, from Stockholm University." [1]
