Burley tobacco is a type of tobacco that is usually air-cured and light brown to deep reddish-brown in color. It has an aroma similar to cocoa.

There are two types of burley: 1) a filler type that is generally light in body and neutral in flavor, and 2) a flavor type is similar in weight to flue-cured tobacco that has a stronger flavor than the filler type.[1]
