Bill Peacock is director of the Center for Economic Freedom, a project of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, an Austin-based think tank.
Prior to joining the foundation in February 2005 Peacock had worked "as the Deputy Commissioner for Coastal Resources for Commissioner Jerry Patterson at the Texas General Land Office. Before he worked at the GLO, Bill was a public relations and legislative consultant and worked on issues including tort reform, insurance, telecommunications, public school finance and school choice. He has also served as the Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Intergovernmental Affairs for Commissioner Rick Perry at the Texas Department of Agriculture and as a legislative aide to Rep. John Culberson." [1]
