Biographical Information

"Bill Joy is a computer scientist who co-founded Sun Microsystems in 1982 and served as chief scientist at the company until 2003. In 1999, he also co-founded a venture capital firm, HighBAR Ventures, and in January 2005 he was named a partner in the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Shannon Joy is the Director of the Joy Foundation, whose primary focus is the protection of marine ecosystems and biodiversity conservation. She has also photographed and worked with groups in Cambodia, Dr. Nancy Hendrie of The Sharing Foundation, and Executive Director Scott Neeson of Cambodian Children's Fund." [1]
