Bill Bowen
Bill Bowen is Principal Consultant with the Melbourne-based trade and PR consultancy company, ITS Global. Bowen started with the company in 2005.
Prior to joining ITS Bowen was, according to a biogrpahical note, "advisor on domestic and international environment policy in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (2002 -2005). He was the Director of the Climate Change Section in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 1999 - 2001. His most recent posting with DFAT was as Counsellor Economic in Australia's High Commission in New Zealand (1996 - 1999). In addition to his international trade and environment policy experience (including leading Australia’s delegation to a range of OECD trade and environment negotiations) he was the assistant to Australia's Executive Director at the World Bank from 1984 - 1987." "As well as postings in Africa and Central Europe with DFAT, he was seconded to AusAID, the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (for the development and negotiation of a cofinancing agreement between the Berne Union of Export Credit Agencies and the World Bank and Inter American Development Bank) and to the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Government Operations (where his report on the economics and financing of Commonwealth statutory authorities informed subsequent corporatisation and privatisaiton policies)," it states.
