Biographical Information
"Biju Mohandas is the Director of Acumen Fund in East Africa and in that role manages Acumen Fund’s portfolio of investments in the region, leads the sourcing, diligence and completion of new investments and is responsible for all investor relations and business development activities. Additionally, as co-chair of the Acumen Fund’s global portfolio leadership team, he is responsible along with the other members for the $70 million global portfolio of Acumen Fund. Prior to this role, he managed Acumen Fund’s investments in the health and water and sanitation portfolios in India. Biju has worked in multiple emerging economies investing in and sitting on the boards of several fast growing enterprises across sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, renewable energy and agribusiness. He has an MBA from the Indian School of Business and has also served in the Indian Army." [1]
