Beyondblue
beyondblue is Australia's National Depression Initiative. Started in 2000 beyondblue is an independent public company chaired by the Hon Jeff Kennett.[1]
beyondblue, the Department of Health and Ageing states, "provides national leadership for the awareness, prevention and early intervention of depression and related disorders."[1]

Funding
beyondblue states that it receives no funding from pharmaceutical firms. This policy of the board has existed since the organisation's establishment in 2000.[4]
Funding for beyondblue comes from Australian Federal, State and Territory governments. For the period 2000- 2010 beyondblue will have received close to $106 million from these governments.[4]
Grant making
beyondblue has made research grants totalling over $20 million from 2000 to 2005 and has committed another $35 million for the period 2005 to 2010.[5]
