The Association of Women Committees for Social Work (AWCSW) "is a mass-based, grass-roots organization founded in June 1981. The Association forms a basic pillar of the Women’s Movement in the occupied territories, thanks to its practical programs and projects, which not only provide services to women, but also create jobs for them. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian women and children have already benefited from the services of the AWCSW over the past 23 years." [1]
