The Association of Insurance and Risk Managers (AIRMIC) (http://www.airmic.com) is a British organisation which represents the interests of 160 insurers and Risk management experts. It was founded in 1963 as the Association of Insurance Managers in Industry and Commerce but recently incorporated "risk" into its title as Risk management has grown in profile in the industry.
It part funded a paper about how people should embrace risk by Frank Furedi, published by Global Futures.
The name of PR company Regester Larkin frequently crops up in association with AIRMIC.
