Arias Foundation

The Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress was founded by Oscar Arias Sánchez.

"The Arias Foundation creates dialogue with political leaders and state representatives in order to promote public policies and social changes that contribute to good governance, democracy, human security and equality between men and women.

"We also work on a daily basis to construct the foundation of societies by promoting the rights of women - their political participation and their business capacity - as well as by empowering citizens for democratic participation and local development.

"Since 1987, our message of peace has been heard by many people and has contributed to improvements in their lives."
