Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) is a 19.6 million acre tract which "lies in the northeast corner of Alaska. The entire refuge lies north of the Arctic Circle and 1,300 miles south of the North Pole." [1]
