Anne Tollison was the wife of Professor Robert D Tollison who was the Director of the Center for Study of Public Choice at George Mason University. Along with Elizabeth Masaitis and Carol M Robert she also provided organisation services to the Cash for Comments Economists Network run out of the Center by Tollison along with the professional lobbyist James Savarese. Later these functions transferred (along with Anne Tollison) to James Savarese & Associates.

This group all knowingly worked for the Tobacco Institute in spreading and amplifying tobacco industry propaganda.
