Ann Wagner
Ann L. Wagner is Co-Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party.
According to her RNC biography, Ann Wagner was "unanimously elected Co-Chairman of the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C. on January 18, 2001, pledging to devote her full energies to growing the Party and developing a strong grassroots political organization.
"Ann directed the development of the acclaimed Winning Women initiative, an ambitious program designed to improve the ability to communicate the Republican Party's positive message to women, get more women involved in Republican politics at all levels, highlight the important roles women play in GOP circles and motivate the women leaders of tomorrow.
"Ann has traveled extensively to promote the Winning Women initiative and another vital RNC grassroots project, the Team Leader Program. She has helped raise significant funds for local Republican candidates and state GOP organizations and has participated in local grassroots organizing events.
"It was Ann's relentless pursuit of a strong grassroots strategy in Missouri that enabled the Republican presidential ticket to carry the Show-Me State for the first time in twelve years, capture the majority of the state's congressional delegation for the first time in half a century and win the Missouri Senate for the first time in 52 years.
"Ann is serving her second term as Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party. Ann was the first woman to head the Missouri GOP and was reelected by acclamation on January 6, 2001. Ann served as the GOP's Director of the House and Senate Redistricting Commission in 1991. She served as the Missouri State Executive Director of the George Herbert Walker Bush/Dan Quayle Campaign in 1992, the 2nd Congressional District Chair of the Bob Dole for President Campaign in 1996 and as an advisor for the John Ashcroft for Senate Campaign in 1994. Due to her strong belief in grassroots politics, she continues to hold the position of Republican Committeewoman for Lafayette Township in West St. Louis County.

"Ann is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1984. She attended college on a vocal music scholarship. Ann held management positions at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City and Ralston Purina in St. Louis, before entering Republican politics."
