Angela Rae is a news anchor for UPN33 News This Morning.
"Angela began her television career in Jackson, Mississippi, where she worked for the local ABC affiliate as an anchor and a reporter. A year and a half later, she was on her way to work for CBS in South Florida. Angela started WFOR’s first morning show in 1995. Shortly after that, she solo-anchored the station’s weekend newscast, making it number one for the two years she was at the helm. Then, in 1999, she became the station’s main nighttime anchor, holding down the 5pm, 6pm and 11pm newscasts, the first African-American woman to become the primary anchor in the Miami market. Within a year of her taking this position, the station’s 11pm show went from fifth in the market to number one. A year and a half later, CBS’ flagship station in New York City, asked Angela to become the primary nighttime anchor. In 2000, she headed up to the Big Apple," her biographical note states.
