Andrew M. Gordon was unanimously elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in 2007. Mr. Gordon has served on LACMA’s board since 2005 as Chair of the Finance Committee from 2006–2007 and as a member of the Executive Committee. In his new role in addition to serving as chairman, he will co-chair the Executive Committee and serve ex officio on all other board committees. He succeeds the recently retired Nancy Daly Riordan, who resigned in August for health reasons.
"Mr. Gordon is the head of Goldman Sachs & Co Investment Banking Division West Region. He also heads the firm’s Global Media Investment Banking practice. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the London School of Economics.
"Mr. Gordon’s family has lived in Los Angeles for several generations. He is actively involved in civic and educational activities. Mr. Gordon serves on the Board of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and is the Chairman of the Board of the Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California." [1]
