Andre Vltchek is a regular contributor to New Eastern Outlook and Russia Today. [1]

"Originally from Central Europe, Andre Vltchek, a Senior Fellow at the Oakland Institute, is a progressive novelist, political analyst, journalist, and a filmmaker.

"Author of several politically charged books (both fiction and non-fiction), including Western Terror: From Potosi to Baghdad, Exile and Point of No Return (2005), Andre produced a 90-minute documentary film, Terlena - Breaking of a Nation, on the U.S.-supported dictatorship of Suharto. He is currently working with Noam Chomsky on a book about U.S. involvement in the 1965 military coup in Indonesia as well as on his latest novel Winter Journey and a non-fiction book American Asia.

"Andre has covered armed conflicts in Peru, Mexico, Bosnia, Sri Lanka, India, South Africa, East Timor, Indonesia, Turkey and the Middle East, for Der Spiegel, Asahi Shimbun, ABC News , Lidove Noviny , and written for many other international publications.

"Andre is editorial director of Asiana Press Agency, progressive media agency covering Asia Pacific, South Asia as well as Australia and Oceania. He is also a co-founder of Mainstay Press publishing house for progressive political fiction.

"Fluent in six languages, Andre has lived in Europe, United States, Latin America and Asia and is currently based in Southeast Asia and South Pacific." [1]

In 2016 Andre wrote the foreword for Jeff J. Brown's book China Is Communist Dammit! Dawn of the Red Dynasty.
