Biographical Information

"André Sapir is a Professor of Economics at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), a Senior Fellow with the think-tank Bruegel. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and is specialized in international economy and European integration as well as an analyst of the globalization phenomenon and the reform of European social models.

"He is the founder and a member of the editorial board of the academic journal World Trade Review, and a member of the Economic Policy Analysis Group for European Commission President José Manuel Durao Barroso.

"In 2004 he published “An Agenda for a Growing Europe”, a report commissioned by the President of the European Commission which became known as the Sapir Report." [1]
