"In January 1999, PDIA invited Ana O. Dumois to join the PDIA Advisory Board. Dumois has devoted her professional and personal life to improving health care and social services for women and their families. One of the leaders of the movement for patients' rights and community control of health services, she contributed to the enactment of the Patients' Bill of Rights by the Hospital Association of New York State. For over 10 years, she was the president of Community Healthcare Network, a leading provider of reproductive health services for women of color in New York City." [1]
