Amanda McKenzie "an Arts/Law student at Monash University, is the founder of ASCENT, the Australian Climate Change Education Network. ASCENT is an independent organisation specifically focused on climate change education which aims to bring information about climate change - the problem and the solutions - to the average person, making it easier for them to change their lifestyle and energy consumption. Amanda believes that while young people are concerned about climate change, many feel disempowered - this is where ASCENT and the AYCC comes in - to bring young people together to lead the change in Australia."
