Ali Dabiri
Dr. Dabiri "has over thirty years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering, as an academician and researcher. He was a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Chairman of the mechanical engineering department at Sharif University in Iran.
"Dr. Dabiri also worked as the Chief Scientist in the Applied Science Division for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), the largest employee owned research and engineering firm in the U.S. He holds 8 patents, in the areas of desalination technology, biomedical and energy systems, and has two patent applications pending for terahertz technology application. He is the author of a Persian language textbook on thermodynamics that is currently in use in Iran.
"Dr. Dabiri was born in Iran and received a Bachelors of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tehran Polytechnique. He came to the U.S. and received a Masters degree and a Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. In 2001 Dr. Dabiri established the Dabiri Foundation, a philanthropic organization which funds various educational, agricultural and cultural projects in U.S., Central America and Iran." [1]
He serves on the advisory board for the National Iranian American Council.
