Biographical Information
"ALDO CARDOSO sits on the board of a number of large listed European corporations including GDF-Suez (one of the largest European gas and electricity company), Imerys (mining and industrial minerals), Rhodia (chemicals), Gecina (real estate funds), Bureau Veritas (assessment and certification services), Mobistar (telecom company in Belgium) and AXA Investment Managers (asset management). Previously, he sat on the boards of Orange (2nd-largest mobile telecommunication operator in Europe and now a subsidiary of France Telecom) and Accor (hospitality and financial services company). From 2002 to 2003, he was Chairman and CEO of Andersen Worldwide and as such was responsible for dismantling Andersen’s international operations which comprised 85,000 employees in 83 countries. Prior to that, he held a number of senior positions at Andersen in France and in Europe. Aldo holds a French national auditor diploma, a master in law from La Sorbonne and an MBA from ESCP." [1]
