Albert Small, "President of Southern Engineering Corporation, has been active in the building industry throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for more than 50 years. He serves on the Boards of the National Symphony Orchestra, the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Tudor Place Foundation, and The Manuscript Society. He is also a Member of the James Madison Council of the Library of Congress and The Life Guard of Mount Vernon, a Trustee of the National Archives Foundation, as well as Treasurer for the U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Reception Rooms Endowment Fund. He has been a rare book and manuscript collector for over 50 years, and collects in many fields, especially related to the Declaration of Independence." [1]
