Alain Chouet was the Service Chief of French Foreign Security Intelligence (Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure (DGSE), Service de renseignement de sécurité (SRS) between 2000 and 2002. He claimed that the French warned the United States of an impending Al Qaeda attack on US interests in 2001. [1].
