Biographical Information

"Aimée Christensen is founder and CEO of Christensen Global Strategies (www.christensenglobal.com), collaborating with industries, investors, governments, organizations and individuals worldwide to develop solutions for a strong clean global economy, healthy communities and protection of our natural resources. Her clients have included the Clinton Global Initiative, Duke Energy, Microsoft, Ogilvy, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Swiss Re, The Elders, the United Nations, the U.S. Department of Energy, Virgin Unite and Wolfensohn & Co. Trained as an environmental and energy lawyer, she has two decades’ experience in policy, law, investment, and philanthropy including with Google.org, the World Bank, Baker & McKenzie, and the U.S. Department of Energy where she drafted the first bilateral and regional climate change accords. In 2012, Aimée served as a Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General’s High-level Group on Sustainable Energy For All and she also served as the founding Program Chair of the 2010 and 2011 World Climate Summits, which brings together business leaders to collaborate on building the global clean economy. In addition to her advisory work and investments, Ms. Christensen has contributed to building the global clean economy by playing a central role in the founding of a number of organizations, campaigns, and businesses including the Clean Economy Network, the Global Observatory, EKO Asset Management Partners, and the Newark (N.J.) Green Future Network. She is responsible for a number of critical firsts including drafting and negotiating the first U.S. bilateral agreements on climate change and writing and successfully advocating for the adoption of the first university endowment investment policy on climate change (Stanford University). She serves on the Advisory Boards of EKO Asset Management Partners, FuseCorps and one4all, and the Board of ecoAmerica and the International Centre for Trade & Sustainable Development. She was the 2011 Hillary Laureate and a 2010 Aspen Catto Fellow and graduated from Smith College and has a JD from Stanford Law School." [1]
