Adva Center "is a non-partisan, action-oriented Israeli policy analysis center. It was founded in 1991 by activists from three social movements: the movement for equality for Mizrahi Jews, the feminist movement, and the movement for equal rights for Arab citizens." [1]

"Together with Physicians for Human Rights, and with the legal assistance of the Cegla Law Clinic at Tel Aviv University, the Adva Center runs a hotline for Israeli citizens who are unsure of their rights under the National Health Insurance Law or who run into snags in the public health system. In 2005 the Hotline handled some 800 complaints." [2]

They have received funding from groups that include the Heinrich Boll Foundation, Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Foundation, Ford Foundation, Middle East Peace Dialogue, Moriah Fund, National Council of Jewish Women, and the New Israel Fund. [3]
