The Adelson Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) was launched in 2006 at the Shalem Center with a generous gift from the Adelson Family Foundation which "launches an academic and research institute that will develop, articulate and build support for the strategic principles needed to address the challenges currently facing Israel and the West."[1]
David Keyes formerly "served as coordinator for democracy programs under Natan Sharansky at the Adelson Institute for Strategic Studies." [2]
