Achieng Maureen Akena "is the Coordinator for project on International Justice in Africa based in Kampala, Uganda. This advocacy project is a collaborative effort of the International Refugee Rights Initiative and the Open Society Justice Initiative to provide a monitoring and advocacy report on the various international justice initiatives on the Continent. Achieng previously worked as the Activism Programme Officer with DITSHWANELO in Botswana. She has a law degree from Nagpur University in Nagpur, India and an LLM in human rights from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary." [1]
