The Abundant Forests Alliance (AFA) describes itself as a group with the mission "to reassure you that there will always be plenty of forests."[1] AFA was founded by companies in the "wood and paper products industry" in approximately 2006.[2]
The website domain name was registered in May 2005 by Barry Reicherter from the Washington D.C. office of the public relations firm Porter Novelli.[3] John Schachter was listed as the administrative contact.
