5.5.5 is a shorthand for the likely date of May 5th, 2005 for the British General Election 2005. Michael White, political editor of The Guardian, wrote in November 2004 of "Mr Blair's 5.5.5 timetable: the expected election pencilled in for May 5 2005." [1]
