4.0 Schools
Founded in 2010 by Matt Chandler, the New Orleans based 4.0 Schools is a non-profit 501(c)3 education "incubator" involved in the micro-school and school privatization movement[1]. 4.0 schools seeks to take educators and turn them into entrepreneurs, providing funding for their start-ups.
In 2019, the Charles Koch Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation both pledged $5 million to 4.0 Schools' "Fund III". An additional $5 million will be granted from other donors. Fund III will finance 600 entrepreneurs and pilot 500 new schools and programs.[2]
