Campaigns
In May 2005, 360Advantage ran its first TV commercials, "slamming TV news as biased to the left and promoting the conservative magazine" The Weekly Standard, according to O'Dwyer's PR Daily. "The ads are scheduled to run on Fox News Channel and other spots are in the works," reporter O'Dwyer's. [2]
One ad, titled "Newscaster", "shows a young TV news reporter in New York interviewing a TV news exec who expresses a preference for The Weekly Standard and says, 'Our newsroom is always serving up news with a liberal twist, day in and day out.' The exec then runs away when he realizes his comments are being taped and the young reporter laments the magazine is 'what Washington is reading, even if they don't always admit it.'" [3]
Staff
360Advantage's staff includes "key players in George W. Bush's successful presidential campaigns." The firm is headed by Russ Schriefer, who did advertising with the Bush/Cheney 2000 and 2004 campaigns and produced the 2004 Republican National Convention, and by Stuart Stevens, a "Bush adman and veteran political strategist."
Schriefer and Stevens worked together at Maverick Media, were partners in the Stevens & Schriefer Group in Washington, DC, and also both worked on presidential campaigns in the Czech Republic, Nigeria, the Philippines and Congo (Jack O'Dwyer's Newletter, Vol. 38, No. 17, April 27, 2005).
