1 Source Consulting, Inc. is one of the 2,000+ corporations featured in the Washington Post's 2-year long investigative series, Top Secret America, in which Post investigative journalists Dana Priest and William Arkin uncovered the massive, "seen, but invisible" underbelly of that has unfurled inside of the post September 11, 2001 National Security State apparatus within the United States.[1][2]

It is "[h]eadquartered in Germantown, Maryland, with offices in Washington, DC, and multiple locations across the nation." On their website, they say they "help [their] clients optimize business operations, perform more efficiently and effectively with available resources, and achieve business and mission objectives through the appropriate application of information systems and technology."[3]

"On December 5, 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy awarded 1 Source Consulting with a 7-year, $1 billion dollar IT support contract. The DOE IT Support Services contract was one of the largest federal IT service contracts ever awarded to a small business. 1 Source Consulting, through the joint venture, has successfully scaled its operations and infrastructure to respond efficiently and effectively to meet all requirements of this high-profile IT support services effort. In addition to DOE, [their] federal government clients span the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Commerce, Department of Justice, Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Transportation."[4]
