R. J. Johnson is a political strategist who does general and media consulting. He is the President of R. J. Johnson and Associates, a consulting firm based in Randolph, Wisconsin. Johnson served twice as the Republican National Committee's Midwest Regional Political Director. He was Executive Director of the Wisconsin Republican Party, and Political Director of the Republican Party of Florida.

R.J. Johnson was a paid consultant to the Club for Growth Wisconsin, which led the paid media and grassroots effort to support embattled Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's budget repair and biennial budget bills.[1]

Johnson managed Wisconsin Congressman Mark Neumann’s 1998 U.S. Senate race and was the general consultant to Republican nominee Tim Michels in the 2004 U.S. Senate Race. Johnson has served as political and media consultant to Congressman Mike Rogers since 2000, when Rogers won the closest race in the U.S. by just over 100 votes. He has served as media consultant for other members of Congress, including Congresswoman Candice Miller since 2002. Johnson often partners with strategic consultant and ad man Bill Eisner of Nonbox. The two created Eisner|Johnson in 1998 and shortly thereafter were named the media agency for Steve Forbes’ Presidential Campaign in 2000. Johnson grew up in Washington, D.C., and lives in Randolph, Wisconsin with his wife, Valerie, and their three children.[2]
