Rebecca Kleefisch serves as Wisconsin’s 44th Lieutenant Governor. She was elected Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor on November 2, 2010.
2011/2012 Recall Election
Kleefisch is the first lieutenant governor in U.S. history to face a recall election. She is being opposed by Democrat Mahlon Mitchell, a firefighter and union leader. Recall organizers submitted more than 800,000 valid signatures against Kleefisch, well above the 540,208 signatures needed to force her into an election.[1]
