Michael G. Vickers
Michael G. Vickers is Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations, Low Intensity Conflict & Interdependent Capabilities (within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy). His areas of expertise are Military Strategy and Policy, Military Revolutions, Transformation of the Military, Future Warfare, and Military Research and Development. Vickers is considered one of Andrew Marshall's "acolytes."[1][2]
"Michael Vickers is a frequent writer and presenter on future warfare and transformation strategy. He served three times as an Advisor to the Defense Science Board, and led the Secretary of Defense's Summer Study on transformation strategy. He is a former Army Special Forces Officer and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Operations Officer with extensive operational experience. Mr. Vickers received a MA from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University, where he is completing his PhD dissertation. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania."
