C.J. Silas
C.J. Silas[1] is the Retired Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Phillips Petroleum Company (engaged in exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids on a worldwide basis, the manufacture of plastics and petrochemicals and other activities) (1985-1994).
Silas is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission,[2], and the Atlantic Council of the United States[3].
Silas joined the Halliburton Company Board in 1993. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Compensation and the Management Oversight Committees. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Reader's Digest Association Inc. since 1992.[4]
