William N. Bates, Jr. was a Liggett & Myers Research Associte Director in the Tobacco Working Group).
Biography
William N. Bates Jr. was a Liggett & Myers Research Chemist from 1950-53 and Associate Director of Research from 1960-94. He was Assistant Director of the Research Lab in 1952 and L&M Director of Research & on the Board of Directors from 1964 to 1975. (N.M. Tobacco Companies Personnel List)
