Use of Video News Releases and/or Satellite Media Tours
In the 5pm news bulletin on January 30, 2006 the station broadcast an edited and re-voiced video news release (VNR) produced by D S Simon Productions for Matrixx Initiatives on a flu-related dehydration treatment, Zicam. The broadcast item removed all references to Zicam. [1]
According to the "Healthy Housekeeper" website, WVVA aired an SMT with Laura Dellutri in April 2006. [2]
