VERSAR, Inc. (VSR / Amex: VSR) was founded in 1969 as an environmental services firm that provided "a variety of technical and scientific services [most often related to environmental risk management and the problems caused by toxic waste and hazardous materials] to government and private industry.[1].
VSR, currently "headquartered in Springfield, VA, is a publicly held professional services firm supporting government and industry in homeland defense and counterterrorism, environmental health and safety and infrastructure revitalization."[2]
Versar "employs approximately 495 professional and support personnel in 14 locations nationwide. About 65 percent of the staff have degrees in science, engineering, or other technical fields.
